We are a newly formed
group of area business people and local officials who
have come together because of a common interest to help disabled American
veterans who have fought in the War on Terrorism. As our
mission statement explains, our common goal is to
"provide financial relief for local U.S. military
families who have been adversely affected by the War on
Terror", and we are asking for your support.
Many of the directors and committee members are
associated with the home building industry, and the
Southwest Suburban Home Builders Association (SSHBA)
has endorsed our efforts. We have already received a
tremendous response from our early efforts, but we have
a long way to go. We would appreciate your assistance at
whatever level of giving you would be able to offer.
Men and women who are protecting our freedom are coming
home with varying levels of disabilities and may receive
minimal financial assistance from existing governmental
agencies. We hope that you feel, as we do, that they
deserve our support. What better reason to give back to
the community than to help those within our communities
who have sacrificed so much?
